Ex-CIA Intelligence. Senior Vice President, WorldAware

Mike is responsible for service delivery of WorldAware’s world class intelligence portfolio WorldCue® to our global clients and partners, leveraging strategic subject matter experts for bespoken intelligence analysis, and providing a full spectrum of security & risk consultancy to the largest, most complex corporations and organizations in the world.

Mike is an experienced intelligence professional in both government service and the private industry. Mike was a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operations officer and served multiple combat tours as a US Army Major. He holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, Washington DC, and was awarded the CIA’s Intelligence Star for Heroism in the field.

In the private sector, Mike created competitive intelligence programs for Fujitsu Limited (Tokyo) and Ernst&Young LLP, and cofounded the cyber intelligence company, iSIGHT Partners (acquired by FireEye). He established the industry’s first cyber threat intelligence programs at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in California and at Visa Incorporated.

He is on the United States Defense Intelligence Agency’s National Intelligence University Foundation Board of Directors and the ASIS International™ Strategic Planning Commission, is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM™) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP™).

MARK BURROWS

Director Safety & Security, Central London Cluster

Mark Burrows is a Safety & Security Professional with over 40 years’ experience. He has been working in Hotels since 1985. He started his career with ITT Sheraton and was a former member of the Global Security Council. He was part of the Crisis response Go Team Globally for Starwood Hotels. He is now a member of the Hotel Security Managers Institute and is a founder member of the W1 Security Council. Global Director of Security for the year in 1995. He was a member of the Olympic committee for London Hotels in 2010 to 2012. He is part of the Crisis Response Team for Westminster. He is now Part of the Marriott London Security Council.

ROGER GOLLAND

OBE. Former Director, HM Diplomatic Service

Roger served for over thirty years in the British Foreign Service, including four tours overseas and directorship assignments at home.  He was head of strategic planning and has been deployed widely as a consultant on security sector reform.  Over his career he has accumulated extensive experience of the tricks and skulduggery deployed by competitors and aggressors, and the damage compromise can leave behind.
